Lee Cloer is a new addition to Blue Ridge. He started traveling with BR in February of 2009 as the Technical Manager - a fancier word for Web Administrator/Online Marketing Manager. He handles the groups multi-media blogging, videoing, and photographing of the group on the road, as well as online sales, and the social media for the group. He has known Blue Ridge for quite awhile and was asked recently to join them on the road.
Besides doing the online media work for the group Lee helps setup and break down the equipment at the show. Basically, Lee was in the Marines so he takes orders well and does what the group needs him to do.
Lee enjoys southern gospel music and one of his favorite groups is Gold City. He enjoys classic rock, contemporary christian music like 3rd Day and Casting Crowns and country music. One of his favorite country groups is Rascal Flatts.
His hobbies include playing paintball, playing church league softball, coaching his kid’s sports, taking them fishing, and writing for his online magazine.
Lee was saved in a little church named Emmanuel Baptist in Franklin back in April of 1983. Lee is also a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where he operates the multi-media video presentations in the sound booth for the church. He is also the chairman of the church’s transportation committee, and a 3rd and 4th grade teacher for a children’s group called TeamKids on Wednesday nights. He also helps manage the church’s website.
Lee married his beautiful wife Wendi in March of 1995. They have two children, a wonderful daughter named Audra, and a ball of fire son named Caleb.
Lee has not been around enough to have a lot of road stories, but gets to hear the group tell about theirs when he is on the road with them.
He can recall on his first trip that Michael’s new cell phone was not working right. The battery would not hold a charge and he could only keep it on for about 20-30 seconds before it would shut back off.
He had placed a call to his cell company earlier in the day to notify them of the problem. Well on the road that evening Eric and Kelly would get in the back of the bus and, while hiding their phone number, would call Michael on his cell phone. Masking their voices with an accent, they would leave messages periodically, telling him that the support team would try to call him again soon.
Michael stared at his phone for the next 2 hours, getting agitated as he turned the phone on every time it shut off in order not to miss their call only to see that while the phone was restarting a message had been left by who he thought was his cell company.
Eric and Kelly kept leaving the messages until later on that night when they finally let Michael in on what they were doing. Lee is not sure when Michael ever got his phone fixed… |
